Long before any modern cause adopted it, God established the rainbow as a sacred sign of His covenant with mankind — a visible, breathtaking reminder of His faithfulness, mercy, and protection over all the earth. Its origin and its meaning remain unchanged, no matter how culture chooses to redefine it.
"I have set my rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth." — Genesis 9:13
The rainbow was created with seven colors — and throughout Scripture, seven is the number of divine perfection, completeness, and God's finished work. It is no coincidence that the rainbow carries that number. It was designed by God, for God's glory.
That truth is the heartbeat behind 7 > 6 — a faith-based clothing line created to celebrate God's original design, proclaim His promises, and reclaim the rainbow for what it has always truly meant.

God's reminder that He keeps His promise.

God's wrath was held back by His love.

God restores what sin has broken.

God's grace is greater than any sin.
The rainbow was not created by man. It was not assigned its meaning by a culture or a movement. God placed it in the sky with purpose and intention, and its meaning has never changed — no matter how the world chooses to redefine it.
The original pride flag, by contrast, uses six colors—a symbol created by man rather than established by God. In biblical symbolism, six is often associated with humanity and incompleteness, falling short of the perfection represented by seven. Whether intentional or not, the reduction from seven colors to six reflects a movement away from God's original design and toward a symbol defined by man.
The rainbow's true significance has never changed. It remains exactly what God always intended it to be — a declaration of His mercy, His faithfulness, His covenant, and His glory. It points beyond itself to the Creator who gave it meaning, and no cultural movement has the power to alter that.
The goal behind 7>6 is not simply to reclaim the rainbow, it is to proclaim the Savior . 7>6 is not built on hate. It is built on truth.
The rainbow points to God's covenant. God's covenant points to His faithfulness. God's faithfulness points to Jesus Christ.
The greatest message connected to the rainbow is not about identity, politics, or culture—it is about redemption. Through Jesus Christ, sinners can be forgiven, lives can be transformed, and eternal hope can be found.
May the rainbow once again remind the world of God's mercy, God's truth, God's glory, and God's invitation to salvation through Jesus Christ.
